Our June 17th meeting will focus on the Budget. Our main presenter is Jim Leddy, Community & Government Affairs Manager for Sonoma County, former District Director for Senator Wes Chesbro.

We will also have an update on the latest efforts to overturn Proposition 8 by Chari Davidson from the Sonoma County Chapter of Marriage Equality USA.

Please join us and feel free to share whatever information on current issues and activities. Again, please note we have moved our meeting next door in the senior center as the clubhouse is currently under renovation. Try to come to the meeting no later than 6:45. Parking is available in either the cul-de-sac or around the other side of the senior center. Bring your family, friends and colleagues; and your favorite dish or beverage. And don’t forget to gather together some food or donations for COTS (Committee on the Shelterless) in Petaluma – and we will need someone to deliver them the following day.

Mark your calendars for our big BBQ Bash in the beautiful backyard of Bill and Margaret Fishman in Penngrove on Saturday, July 18th from 3-6 PM – Elected Officials, Club Members, Family and Friends – You’re all invited!

Also remember the Sonoma County Fair is coming up July 28th-August 9th. Volunteers are needed to staff the Democratic Booth particularly on evenings 7-10 PM, weekends and Mondays 11 AM until 10 PM.

(After June 17th, no official meetings for the remainder of summer. We’ll resume our regular schedule in September.)
